LONDON: A chicken named Jordan Peckford predicts England will beat Ukraine at Euro 2020.

The chicken belonging to The Sun newspaper itself named Kiev also showed he was not ‘just owning a chicken brain’ when asked to choose the bowl of food given to him.

Peckford, meanwhile, wasted no time in eating food marked with the English flag.

And after that he stepped on a bowl marked with the Ukrainian flag.

The four-month-old chicken, named after Three Lions goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, belongs to farmer couple Andrew and Ruth Pollard, both 49 years old.

They were loyal spectators of England’s match at Euro 2020 with their four children.

Sunderland fan Andrew said: “I saw Jordan Pickford start his career with us before the big move to Everton.

“The way he saved the goal against Germany was amazing. He is the best goalkeeper so far.”
