England Sidelined Henderson, Sterling Due To Injury

LONDON: Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling missed England’s match against Iceland in the UEFA Nations League match, early this Thursday morning, the Football Association (FA) of England announced.

Handerson, who is also Liverpool captain, suffered an injury when The Three Lions lost to Belgium, early yesterday morning while Manchester City striker Sterling withdrew due to a calf injury.

In a statement issued by FA England, the two players have already returned to their respective clubs to undergo further treatment.

England coach Gareth Southgate will continue to prepare the team for the final action of the year with the strength of 22 players in the squad.
