Harry Kane and Son Heung-min once again became the backbone of Tottenham as the 3-0 win over Leeds and turned on the chance to challenge the title last night but the third match of the Premier League this week was postponed due to the spread of COVID-19.

Burnley’s clash with Fulham, scheduled for today, has been postponed due to positive cases involving the Fulham squad.

Fulham’s visit to Tottenham was also delayed just an hour before kick-off last Wednesday, creating disappointment for Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.

However, when the squad ended four games without a win against Leeds, Mourinho slammed his three players for not following the strict rules of COVID-19.

Giovani Lo Celso, Erik Lamela and Sergio Reguilon were seen attending a big party with family and friends at Christmas with West Ham player Manuel Lanzini.

“We are deeply disappointed and critical of the image of our players as well as family and friends together at Christmas, especially considering the sacrifices made by everyone in the country to stay safe during this festive period,” Tottenham said in a statement.

“The matter will be resolved within the club.”

At Padang, Kane and Son finished two goals without a goal to take Tottenham to third place and just four points behind leaders Liverpool and Manchester United.

This is the 13th time Kane and Son have teamed up to create goals this season, matching the Premier League record set by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton to Blackburn in 1994-95.
