LONDON: Leeds were embarrassed by League Two side Crawley who eliminated them in the third round of the FA Cup 3-0.

Crawley joined big names such as Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City who advanced easily to the fourth round of the tournament.

Leeds, who are ranked 12th in the English Premier League, suffered a setback after manager Marcelo Bielsa made seven changes to his home team at The People’s Pension Stadium.

Nick Tsaroulla scored the first goal of his career to open the scoring for Crawley in the 51st minute, followed by Ashley Nadesan’s goal two minutes later and Jordan Tunnicliffe in the 70th minute.

“These players want to prove something to the old club that let them go, and we prove what we can do for a very good team,” said Crawley manager John Yems.

What made Leeds even worse was when Crawley included former reality TV star Mark Wright as a substitute at the end of the game.

“It is not a matter of surprise. We know the character of their players. We control the ball for a long time but are not able to do anything with it,” said Bielsa.
