MANCHESTER: Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has vowed to replace the top striker to replace Sergio Aguero this summer.

Tottenham strikers Harry Kane and Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund, are on City’s radar after the club’s top scorer Aguero joined Barcelona.

They are also hunting for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish who is worth 100 million pounds.

“We lost an important legend – Sergio Aguero. It is difficult to replace, but I am confident we will be able to find the right player to fill his place.

“There are a few more parts of this group that need investment. Not too much, it’s not about numbers, but quality.

“I think it’s an incredible squad. You don’t win the English Premier League and advance to the Champions League final if you don’t have a great squad.

“We will improve the quality in the squad in some important positions. One thing I learned is that you have to always bring new talent in the team,” Khaldoon said.

Regarding the position of City manager Pep Guardiola Khaldoon said: “It’s a great collaboration. He’s in the right atmosphere, has the right infrastructure for him.

“We have high confidence in him and a good relationship, and we’ve already achieved a lot.

“So I think it will continue as long as Pep is happy and we are happy too.”
