Manchester United Determined To Rise Again

LONDON: Manchester United are desperate for three points when they face Brighton in the English Premier League tomorrow night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad needs victory to make up for the disappointment after losing 1-3 at the hands of Crystal Palace in the league debut, last week.

The defeat also saw United’s unbeaten record in 14 games before the end of last season.

Thus, a win over Brighton is important to put The Red Devils back on track in this season’s league championship hunting mission.

However, Solskjaer’s men are expected to face a tough task against Brighton with the opponent currently at their best after rising from a 1-3 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the first leg by beating Newcastle United 3-0, last Sunday.

United overcame the Championship League club, Luton in the League Cup match, yesterday despite Solskjaer making 10 changes but had to bring in Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood to ensure victory in the match.

In the action, Rashford and Greenwood each scored one goal.

“We need competitive matches and minutes of play for players because we usually go through pre-season action after a short training session.

“It’s a positive thing for them to get the minutes of the game and score,” Solskjaer said.
