ZAGREB: Kylian Mbappe blasted a late win to help France beat Croatia 2-1 in the League of Nations match in Zagreb.

The Paris Saint-Germain star, who missed a golden opportunity earlier, made up for his mistake 11 minutes before the end of the game.

France took the lead through Antoine Griezman’s goal but Nikola Vlasic equalized for the hosts.

France, who won 4-2 in the World Cup final in Moscow two years ago, recorded the same result over their opponent in Paris in the League of Nations match last month.

Les Bleus have never lost to Croatia and after this decision, allow them to match the collection of Group 3 leaders A, Portugal.

The result with Croatia saw France share 10 points with Portugal at the top of Group A League 3.

The two teams will meet in Portugal on November 14 after a goalless draw in Paris last weekend.
