MONTEVIDEO: Neymar scored one goal and assisted for another as Brazil maintained a perfect start to the World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win over Paraguay just moments ago.

Substitute Lucas Paqueta confirmed victory in injury time in Asuncion and Brazil are now creating a six -point gap on the South American World Cup qualifying group stage after creating all six wins.

Brazil started fast and scored less than four minutes after the game started.

Gabriel Jesus, who was called back to the starting line -up, crossed the ball from the right and tried to be picked up by Richarlison but failed before an unmarked Neymar blasted past goalkeeper Antony Silva.

Paraguay were unwavering and center -back Omar Alderete kicked hard but was saved by Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson.

Brazil had a chance to end the match through a quick counter-attack but Neymar squandered the chance and Gustavo Gomez blocked Richarlison’s attempt.

However, at the time of the injury, Neymar channeled the ball for Paqueta on the right who kicked with his left foot into the corner of the opponent’s goal.
