GLASGOW: Sweden have a good chance of advancing to the quarter -finals of Euro 2020 when they meet Ukraine here early tomorrow morning Malaysian time, but its coach, Janee Andersson urged her squad not to be arrogant.

Andersson’s men won Group E after wins over Slovakia and Poland and a draw against Spain and are scheduled to meet Andriy Shevchenko’s side – the only team to qualify for the top 16 with just three points.

“There are no easy winning tickets at this stage. Every team that qualifies is very good,” Andersson said when asked if this match was an easy route for them to the quarterfinals.

“You have to take a chance and do your best.”

Sweden advanced to the top eight at the World Cup three years ago and are now likely to meet England in the quarter -finals, should the Three Lions elicit Germany in a separate match.

Ukraine put up a tough fight before losing 2-3 to the Netherlands in the opening week of the tournament, followed by a 2-1 win over Northern Macedonia, their first European Championship win since Shevchenko scored twice against Sweden in 2012.
