LONDON: Gareth Bale is said to have completed his return to Tottenham today in a move led by Jose Mourinho.

The Wales international has agreed a one-year deal that Sportsmail is understood to be worth more than £ 13 million – part of which will be paid by Real Madrid – and he is looking forward to returning his career at the club that raised his name.

There are still no signs when Tottenham – who will face Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the Europa League early tomorrow morning – will make an official announcement but it will be done after a few minor contract issues are resolved.

Bale returned to North London, seven years after he was sold to Madrid with a world record transfer of £ 90 million.

Mourinho believes Tottenham need Bale to revive Tottenham’s offensive line and talks are intensifying after meeting with Chairman Daniel Levy.

It is understood that no player changes were made in the process.
