Bayern Not Afraid To Meet Barca

MUNICH: Bayern Munich are chasing a treble into the Champions League final after Robert Lewandowski blew up twice in a 4-1 win over Chelsea and 7-1 on aggregate.

They will meet Barcelona in a final tribal action without reciprocity in Lisbon, Portugal after the Spanish team knocked out Napoli.

“Barcelona are a good squad with great players, but if you look a few weeks ago, we can fly to Portugal with confidence,” said Bayern defender David Alaba.

Lewandowski, Champions League top netter, exploded his 12th and 13th goals against Europe’s top rivals this season and played a part in all four of Bayern’s goals in Munich.

Preceding 3-0 rather than the first clash at Stamford Bridge in February, Bayern appear to have no problem continuing their winning streak over Chelsea.

“We can be complacent, this is our first fight in a month and it is not easy to perpetuate the beat.

“We have been making preparations since two weeks ago and you can see the results,” said Alaba.

The Bundesliga and German Cup winners will face Barcelona this Friday in Lisbon for a place in the final half….
