LONDON: Brighton signed Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana through a free transfer early this morning.

The former England international has agreed a three-year contract with Brighton just after 24 to finish the Premier League season.

The 32-year-old, whose contract with Liverpool expired after last night’s game, was targeted by Everton, Leicester and Burnley before choosing Graham Potter’s squad.

“Adam is very excited to join us, someone I’m sure supporters like and when things get back to normal,” Potter said on the Brighton website.

“To have such an experience and quality on the field is a great addition for us, and I know he will be a role model for the young players in the squad.”

While with Liverpool, Lallana won the Champions League, Premier League, European Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
