Chelsea Copy Liverpool – Lampard

LONDON: Frank Lampard reminds Jurgen Klopp that Chelsea are just ‘imitating’ what Liverpool once did when spending big to get players.

The action of both teams will only take place this weekend, but Klopp has already ‘attacked’ Lampard after The Blues spent more than 200 million pounds on the transfer window this summer.

Klopp, who only spent 11.75 million pounds on Kostas Tsimikas ‘purchase for the season, said’ we are in a world full of uncertainty.

“For some teams, maybe it doesn’t matter about this situation – the team that belongs to the country or the oligarchs, this is the truth.

“We are a different team because we went to the Champions League final two years ago, won it last year and became the English Premier League (EPL) champions in our own way. We can’t change that and say ‘now we have to follow Chelsea because they signed many players. ‘

Lampard appeared to give a fully effective diplomatic explanation without any inappropriate statement.

“The reality is, apart from Leicester – most teams that win the league will bring in good players and spend at a value they feel is worth it.

“Just like Liverpool who got Van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho, Keita, Mane, Salah. They are great players who come at such a high price. Liverpool have done the same.

“What we are doing is being free from suspension and finding ways to help our team. We know even Liverpool have spent a lot of money.

“We know they have great coaches. They are smart because they believe in coaches and their systems all this time.

“It’s a great thing but they actually spend a lot to get players,” Lampard said.
