LONDON: Manchester City broke Chelsea’s unbeaten record in the English Premier League (EPL) this season after creating a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge, here, just now.

Gabriel Jesus’ goal in the 53rd minute was enough for Pep Guardiola’s side to steal three valuable points and climb to second place in the league.

In fact, the result also saw The Citizens squad take revenge after losing 1-0 at the hands of Chelsea in the Champions League final in May.

Three points from the opposition saw City collect 13 points after six games with four wins, one draw and one loss.

Chelsea, who were previously at the top of the league, had to fall to third place and collect the same number of points as City, but lacked in terms of goal difference.

Next, City will go through a tough action when they face the French giants, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the opponent’s court for the Group A action, the Champions League, this Wednesday.

Chelsea will also face a tough match when they face Italian club Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on Thursday for Group H.
