LONDON: Everton have confirmed one of their three midfielders is expected to be signed in the presence of Brazilian international Allan through a three-year deal from Napoli with a reported fee of £ 22 million.

The 29-year-old is back with Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti, who once worked with him at the Serie A club.

Everton are also close to reuniting Ancelotti with Colombian star James Rodriguez for the third time after joining Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, while fees have also been reportedly agreed with Watford to secure Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Allan, who has made more than 200 appearances over the past five years in Naples, admits he cannot deny the opportunity to be with Ancelotti again.

“It’s a club that is rich in history in the Premier League, has real ambitions and there is Professor Ancelotti. He did anything to bring me here,” Allan told Everton TV.

“It’s the size of the club and the name of the coach which means you don’t think twice about coming to Everton.”
