LONDON: Pep Guardiola has told England boss Gareth Southgate that he has “amazing” talent in Phil Foden after the 20-year-old scored four Premier League goals in three games against Manchester City.

The midfielder once again made a good showing when City humiliated Liverpool 4-0 earlier this morning.

Guardiola is no doubt that Foden is ready to fill the void left by David Silva and expects the player to shine in the England squad.

“All managers around the world are happy to work with great players,” said Guardiola who coached Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi in ​​Barcelona.

“The success we have had as a manager is because we have developed some amazing talent and Phil is one of them.”

The City boss added: “We can expect him to be a midfielder, a winger, or an attacker because he knows he has great goals and vision.”
