Inter Milan ‘Award A Victory’ For Bologna

MILAN: Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte said his team “gifted” Bologna a 2-1 victory earlier this morning when they gave away a goal and a player that saw the challenge to win the Serie A title.

Antonio Conte’s side needed a win to return eight points behind leaders Juventus, and one point behind second-placed Lazio.

Despite leading by Romelu Lukaku’s 20th goal and against 10 opponents, they failed to avoid defeat.

Juventus are now seven points behind in the league after beating Torino in a Turin rival yesterday when second-placed Lazio lost to AC Milan.

Inter, who also failed to improve on a 1-0 lead, is now 11 points behind eight games this season and just one point behind fourth-placed Atalanta, who beat Cagliari 1-0.

“Obviously what’s going on, there’s not much I can say,” Conte told DAZN. “We all have to take responsibility, first as a coach, then the player who steps into the game.

“I think we gave Bologna the victory today and it’s not the first time.”
