ROME: Inter Milan are tied 2-2 by Hellas Verona who saw Antonio Conte’s side miss the opportunity to jump to Serie A third.

Inter, stunned 2-1 by Bologna, who played 10 people last weekend, missed one goal just two minutes after kick-off thanks to a Darko Lazovic goal.

However, Conte’s side did rise to equalize in the 49th minute through Antonio Candreva, who took advantage of a try by Romelu Lukaku’s pole.

Six minutes later, Inter took the lead when Candreva’s shot hit the Verona player and went into his own net.

Verona, last time beating Inter 28 years ago, secured one point through Miguel Veloso’s equalizer.

Inter remain in fourth place in the league to strengthen their position in the Champions League next season, but are 10 points behind leaders Juventus.

Verona is in ninth place, eight points below the Europa League qualifiers.
