LONDON: Kepa Arrizabalaga made a U-turn and is ready to fight for his place in Chelsea.

He became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when the Blues paid £ 71.6 million to get the Spanish goalkeeper from Athletic Bilbao in 2018.

But just four weeks ago, Kepa, 25, was eliminated from the starting line-up in the FA Cup and Champions League final against Bayern Munich, causing him to worry he would not be able to play for Chelsea again.

It was the culmination of a difficult period throughout his career in an effort to convince manager Frank Lampard to continue to trust him.

However, he has improved the relationship and is impressed with the recent move to strengthen the defensive wall.

Chelsea have spent more than £ 136 million this summer, bringing in including left-back Ben Chilwell and center-back Thiago Silva.

Kepa is now convinced that the option is to stay keksl rather than try to get out of Stamford Bridge.
