Lampard Not Satisfied With Chelsea Players’ Attitude

LONDON: Quickly satisfied with being the key Chelsea wasted excess goals before Arsenal killed 2-1 in the FA Cup final, said controller Frank Lampard.

Lampard’s men started brilliantly at Wembley with Christian Pulisic opening a network of five minutes after football began.

But Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalized with a penalty kick and burst into the winning goal after the break.

“We started well for 10 to 15 minutes, netted goals and created chances.

“After that, we can only blame ourselves in terms of soccer.

“We decided to escort the game because we were satisfied, trying to play a short run casually.

“The final action should not be taken easily and finally we justify them rising up,” Lampard said.

Chelsea were also disappointed with the red card kites on Mateo Kovacic and the injuries to Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta.

“All I can do from the edge of the field is to scream. We are damp, play back, pick up pressure, and then don’t know what needs to be done.

“We did not play well to win the final. Hamstring injuries (Azpilicueta and Pulisic) and shoulders (Pedro), as well as Willian’s injury last night helped to make us happy,” he said.

Chelsea, however, have reached their main target to qualify for the Champions League next season after finishing fourth in the Premier League.

Lampard’s mission is not over with Chelsea will travel to Bayern Munich on August 8 for a reciprocal action group of 16 Champions League-Champions.

However, Chelsea need to recover from the 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge to hunt for a place in the final European elite.
