BARCELONA: Mauricio Pochettino will make a dramatic return to Barcelona if the troops want to replace Quique Setien this summer.

Pochettino had previously refused to control the Catalan club, seeing that he had been with his armies, Espanyol before.

However, with Espanyol now eliminated to divisyen rivals two, Pochettino will certainly retract his words which had previously confirmed he was more willing to work in the fields in Argentina rather than becoming a coach at the Nou Camp.

The name Pochettino was once mentioned to be a controller in Barcelona in January after the president, Josep Bartomeu, fired Ernesto Valverde, but Setien was appointed as a new board administrator.

However, after Barcelona did not succeed in defending the La Liga championship this season, he is likely to be replaced if he fails to win the Champions League.

Bartomeu also has a good relationship with Pochettino once so he is now seen to be a prime candidate if Barcelona wants to make changes within a few months from now.
