LONDON: Ralf Rangnick insists he will keep bringing Paul Pogba down even though the Manchester United planner is only interested in the chance to leave Old Trafford.

Pogba’s contract will expire this season and he has yet to sign a new deal with the club he joined from Juventus in 2016.

The 28 -year -old’s future is often talked about throughout his time with United. Pogba agent Mino Raiola is reportedly in touch with Paris Saint-Germain for a move to Ligue 1 this summer.

The French World Cup winner returned to training with United on Monday for the first time since injuring his thigh in November.

When asked if Pogba should be dropped as his contract is coming to an end, the interim manager said: “Of course. I also dropped Nemanja Matic in the previous match and his contract will also expire.

“Besides, my contract as a manager will also end this summer. So we have the same goal, the ambition to succeed as best we can in these three or four months.

“The question is to what extent does he still want to be part of this group. How high is his emotions and his physical presence in the squad?”

Rangnick hopes to use Pogba’s services ahead of the fourth round of the FA Cup against Middlesbrough on February 4.
