MADRID: Sevilla beat Eibar 1-0 in a La Liga match earlier this morning and are on their way to qualifying for the four-legged Champions League.

The victory lifted fourth-placed Sevilla six points ahead of Villarreal, who lost to Barcelona yesterday.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad’s poor performance continued after Levante’s 1-1 draw, meaning they fell from the top four to seventh.

Sevilla should thank Argentinian Lucas Ocampos who scored in the 56th minute after receiving a Jesús Navas pass.

It was Sevilla’s second consecutive win after four consecutive series since the La Liga start.

Real Sociedad led Levante through Sweden’s Alexander Isak after 12 minutes but came back in the 16th minute thanks to José Luis Morales’ goal.
