The Way Suarez Won Over Chiellini

LONDON: Luis Suarez has reportedly contacted Giorgio Chiellini to ‘ease tensions’ after the Barcelona striker is close to joining Juventus.

The Uruguayan star is known for biting the Italian defender’s shoulder in the 2014 World Cup group stage match in Brazil.

Suarez was not ordered off the field as the referee did not see the incident but was suspended for four months from football activities following the ‘attack’.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Suarez has contacted Chiellini, who is also Juventus captain, to forget about the matter when they are expected to be teammates.

But Chiellini has clearly forgotten the shocking incident.

“Suddenly I noticed he was biting my shoulder.

“It has happened but that may be a strategy and that may also be my strategy as well.

“He and I are similar.”

Despite allegations that Chiellini injured her teeth, Suarez still took responsibility for her actions.

“I admit I’m wrong but I’m just a normal human being. Every player has their own style of play and character.

“This is the way I got to this point,” Suarez said.
